Nars matte multiple in Siam - review

This post stars a product I've wanted to try for a long time : the Nars matte multiple stick. I have found a good offer on strawberrynet.com one day and bought it in the spot. My Nars matte multiple stick is in the shade Siam.

Nars matte multiple stick. Vibrant pops and sensual sun-kissed modern matte hues for lips and cheeks. Used dry it delivers a burst of high-impact color; used wet, color melts into skin with an imperceptibly smooth, sheer finish.

How to Use :
Dry Application: High-Impact Finish
Apply directly from the stick to cheeks or lips and blend with fingertips. May also be applied by tapping Matte Multiple with fingertips and blending product onto cheeks or lips.

Wet Application: Sheer Finish
Dampen fingertips, then tap Matte Multiple and blend product onto cheeks or lips for an ultra smooth, second-skin effect.

It comes in a 7.5 gr/0.26 oz. stick and has a valability of 18 months. Siam is an intense poppy red shade that will certainly make you the star of the show. It is an intensely pigmented colour that is not for the faint hearted or for the discrete make-up lovers. I love the fact that it is a multifunctional product for both lips and cheeks, it saves both time and money.

I have only worn it dry on the lips and cheeks. On the lips it looks absolutely gorgeous! I like to keep the rest of the make-up neutral and discrete and let Siam do the talking. (I promise I'll post a separate make-up look with it). The shade is very intense, from the first layer, and a little bit goes a long way. The shade is not very drying, but not very creamy either. It lasts very well on the lips for over 5 hours and dissapears leaving a stain behind.

On the cheeks it must be used very, very, very sparingly ! It is insanely pigmented and a slight touch of the stick on the cheeks is too much! Use very little and blend immediately; it settles and it doesn't budge! Being such a strong, bold colour it needs a lot of blending to make it look natural. It also leaves a stain behind on the cheeks, so it's perfect when you are on the go, the lip and cheek make-up will definitely stay in place all day!

All in all, Nars matte multiple in Siam is a very good quality multifunctional product for lips and cheeks. I love its intensely pigmented colour and I will definitely mostly wear it as a lipstick rather than as a blush. I love its long-lasting staying power and the fact that it is not very drying as I thought it would be. It is a great product but I find its price a little bit higher.
