Mario Badescu Honey Moisturizer - review

Today I will talk to you about a cream I almost hit pan on. It is Mario Badescu Honey Moisturizer.
.........................
Mario Badescu was a Romanian-born skin care specialist with a bold vision. Being both a chemist and a cosmetologist, Mario had a very unique perspective about skin care, appreciating both the chemical nature and complexities of the skin, as well as the desire and innate satisfaction and confidence that healthy, clean, radiant skin can give a person.

Mario opened his salon in New York City in 1967 and began to develop his signature skin care product line. The effectiveness of these products and his unparalleled European-style facials did not remain a secret --- before long, Mario was rubbing shoulders with the most famous actors, actresses, and celebrities of his day, as they looked to his products and salon as New York City's very own fountain of youth.

Mario Badescu spent many years doing research in his laboratory and testing his innovative products in his salon, and the result of his hard work can still be seen today. The botanically-based skin care line remains as Mario crafted it so many years ago, expertly designed to keep your skin luscious and beautiful. The company is still offering the same personal, customized skin care treatments that were Mario's patent offerings.      source:  mariobadescu.com

Gentle AHA and Vitamin moisturizer is greaseless and absorbent, and is suitable for almost all skin types. Botanical ingredients like antioxidant Peanut Oil, Orange, and Honey Extracts make this product nourishing and moisturizing, leaving skin soft and smooth.
It comes in a 2 oz/59 ml plastic recipient with a very secure cap. The product has a lovely consistency - not too runny and not too thick. It has a soft pleasant smell of honey and it is absorbed almost immediately into the skin.

Ingredients: Deionized Water (Aqua), Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Stearic Acid, Super Sterol Ester, Triethanolamine, Honey Extract, Orange (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis) Extract, Methylparaben.

It is a very efficient daily face cream, I didn't feel the need for any extra moisturization afterwards. The cream feels a little greasy onto the skin but I love it like this especially in the colder seasons, probably it's too much in the warmer ones.

It doesn't contain SPF so use a sun protection product after it.
I didn't have any allergic reactions or any breakouts from the cream.

The cream can be found in selected drugstores and online here : http://www.mariobadescu.ro/creme-de-zi/mario-badescu/honey-moisturizer The price is aprox 150 ron/ 25 dollars (2 oz.). Valability - 6 months.

All in all, Mario Badescu Honey Moisturizer is a very good quality product and I recommend you to try it if you want to invest in a daily cream. Of course it is your decision if you want to spend so much money on a face cream, but I think it's worth it! You only live once and you deserve good quality products! I give it the B grade (due to the higher price). Tell me : Would you spend a large amount of money on a face cream ?
