Lush Jumping Juniper shampoo bar - review

My main issue with my hair is a big one: it's too oily. It is fine, it lacks volume but I can handle it. What I can't stand is its oilyness. This is my almost daily battle. If I wash it in the morning, in the evening my roots are already oily. So I'm always on the hunt for the right shampoo for my hair.

And yes, I am addicted to dry shampoos, to be more specific to Batiste, especially the XXL version. And it is quite expensive so I really want to find an effcient shampoo that can help me reduce the oilyness and increase the time between washes. I've heard that Lush Jumping Juniper shampoo bar is very efficient for oily hair so I decided to try it. Of course I had to ask somebody travelling in the UK to bring it to me because you cannot find Lush products in Romania .. So I bought two. And finished one. And this is my review.
Lush Jumping Juniper shampoo bar. The solid shampoo cleans away grease and balances sebum production for soft hair. The fruity juniper berry oil is astringent and decongests oil build-up on hair, while lemon and lime make the hair clean and shiny and give it an extra fresh scent. The herbal duo, lavender and rosemary are very efficient for oily hair. Rosemary has been used for hundreds of years for its anti-bacterial capabilities, while lavender is known for its ability to balance and soothe the scalp.
Instructions for use : Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; it is recommended to use a LUSH shampoo bar tin.

It comes in a 55 gr. solid shampoo bar. The valability date is written onto the packaging. It has a pleasant herbal scent I like and it lathers very well. I used it two times, one for the cleansing of the sebum, the other for the second cleanse of the hair.

It cleansed well, my hair felt clean and happy. In the long run it didn't reduce the oilyness but it didn't worsen it either. It did increase the time between washes with one day. It didn't cause my dandruff or itching or other scalp reactions.

Fresh ingredients : Sodium Lauryl Sulfate , Lavender Infusion (Lavandula Angustifolia) , Rosemary Infusion (Rosmarinus officinalis) , Fragrance , Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum) , Juniperberry Oil (Juniperus communis) , Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia) , *Citral , *Limonene , *Geraniol , *Linalool , Propylene Glycol , Violet 2 . *Occurs naturally in essential oils   (vegan)

It can be found in all Lush stores and online at the price of aprox. 6 pounds/11 dollars.
All in all, Lush Jumping Juniper shampoo bar is a great shampoo for oily hair but it is not The ONE for me. It worked well on my hair but I didn't see a dramatic change for the better for my hair to make me say WOW! Since it didn't tick all my requirement boxes and it is quite expensive and difficult to get I give it the B grade. Tell me Have you tried it ? What are your thoughts on it ? Until next time,

    1. Da, este bunicel in comparatie cu alte samponuri folosite. Dar efectul nu e wow si e greu de gasit, de asta i-am scazut nota. Pt cine poate sa il cumpere din UK merita incercat.
