La vie en pink make-up look

I have thought about showing you some of my daily make-up looks and the products I use for a long time and it has proved difficult for me so far since I often don't have time to photo the products and the make-up look. But I'll try my best ; I want to show you the products in the make-up look, on the face not only in swatches, writing about them.

So I decided to start a new section of my blog - looks, where I humbly present you my daily make-up and the products I use. I don't consider myself a make-up guru I simply want to show you what works for me and what products I like.

And now let's see the look for today's post : I entitled it La vie en pink. I looove pink both onto cheeks and onto the lips; the bolder, the better. I prefer to showcase either the eyes or the lips. That day the lips were on show with Too Faced Melted lipstick in Melted Candy.

SVR Hydraliane BB in Light - review

I had received and used this BB cream for a while now and since then I used it heavily in my make-up looks. I tend to prefer a lighter coverage in my foundations and BB/CC creams since I don't have heavy skin imperfections to cover. I tend to use a lighter coverage in my bases and correct with a stronger coverage concealer. I had postponed this post for a while now since I couldn't find a good day to photo. This luminous base is so beautiful that I needed the sun to do it justice. I usually keep far away from highlighters since I have quite an oily skin and I shine enough on a daily basis but after using this product, I'll make an exception.

As I told you in a previous post today was the day in which all prices were discounted to 50% at the The Half Is Free shopping event held at the Ark. There were many Romanian designers with interesting, original designs from clothes, to shoes and accessories. The beauty category was represented by Melkior, Mineralium Dead Sea and more, whose prices also were also 50% discounted.

The atmostphere was very relaxed and filled with energy. There was quite a buzz in the building with everybody trying to get the best deal and to see the latest release from each brand. It was a lovely event where all fashion and beauty lovers could gather and enjoy the best products at very convenient prices.

I am a lady of few words. I like to keep it simple, short and efficient. 

Today my blog Monica's beauty in five minutes has turned one year.  

I'm still amazed by this. One entire year had flown by, since the evening on the 4th of October 

when I finally decided to publish my first post after many hesitations and second thoughts.

And you, my lovely readers, have welcomed me with kind words of encouragement and support.

The blog has already brought me many joys: I've met wonderful, special, giving people; 

I've learnt a lot and I still do; I've had many interesting experiences.

It has been a great adventure for me!

I thank all of YOU for being here for me.

I hope I can bring you five minutes of joy, relaxation and useful information every day.

I hope I can improve your English and make you love it a little bit more.

I hope I can make your day a better one.
